Langurs are a family of Old World leaf-eating monkeys.
The Cat Ba Langur is a highly endangered species of Langur found only on Cat Ba Island in Vietnam, a species often confused but distinct from the closely related White-Headed Langur from China.
The Cat Ba Langurs included as one of the most endangered primates in the world. There are less than 70 left .
The adults are black with white/yellow heads and the young are a brilliant orange/gold color that slowly fades as they age. They are stunningly agile.
Theses primates have suffered a 98% population crash as a result of hunting for use in traditional medicines, habitat destruction, and several other pressures.
What will happen to the Species is far from settled and depends heavily on the education, support, and involvement of a larger society.
